MHD (In-Person) Birth Service Package
-Free initial consultation.
-Appropriate number of prenatal visits (In-person or virtual) to client’s remaining weeks of
pregnancy.
-Education, book recommendations, and resources for client’s edification.
-Assisting clients form a birth plan and simple postpartum care plan according to their
preferences.
-On-call hours for questions and updates.
-Present and engaged interaction during labor and delivery.
-Protecting and cultivating a safe and calm environment in the birth space.
-Coaching through a variety of pain management/birthing positions and breath work.
-Physical, emotional, and mental support.
-Advocating for client’s birth plan and preferences.
-Encouragement and backup for client’s partner, spouse, or support person/people.
-Moral support in the circumstance of an emergency or unplanned Cesarean section.
-Notes on specific important moments during labor and delivery
-Simple birth photography (optional).
-One postpartum check-in with client (virtual or in-person).
Price: $800.00 (+Travel expenses if farther than an hour’s distance.)
MHD (Virtual) Birth Service Package
-Free initial consultation.
-Appropriate number of virtual prenatal visits to client’s remaining weeks of pregnancy.
-Education, book recommendations, and resources for client’s edification.
-Assisting clients form a birth plan and simple postpartum care plan according to their
preferences.
-On-call hours for questions and updates.
-Engaged virtual interaction during labor and delivery.
-Virtual coaching client and support person through a variety of pain management/birthing
positions and breath work.
-Emotional and mental support.
-Advocating for client’s birth plan and preferences.
-Encouragement for client’s partner, spouse, or support person/people.
-Notes on specific important moments during labor and delivery
-Moral support in the circumstance of an emergency or unplanned Cesarean section.
-Will supply client with phone tripod for virtual birth support if needed (optional).
-One virtual postpartum check-in with client.
Price: $450.00
MHD Postpartum Service Package
-Free initial consultation.
-Minimum of one prenatal visit to assist client with forming a postpartum care plan (if possible).
-Complimentary, simple postpartum care package with items to assist with recovery.
-Safe and confidential presence to process birth experience.
-Postpartum education.
-Encourage optimal bonding between parent(s) and the baby.
-Book recommendations, and resources for client’s edification.
-Assisting client with postpartum recovery procedures (vaginal birth or Cesarean).
-Emotional and mental support.
-Assistance with meal planning and preparation.
-Ensure home safety status.
-Education about various methods of feeding baby - Breastfeeding support from a certified lactation counselor.
-Education on first aid for infants.
-Infant care while client rests or naps.
-Assistance with simple household tasks and chores (not including extended childcare or serving
as a housekeeper).
-Education on gentle, postnatal exercise.
-Supporting parents in the case of NICU or extended hospital stay.
-Simple parent and baby photography service (optional).
In-Person Price: $30/hr
Virtual Price: $20/hr
Breastfeeding Counseling
-Practical, personalized breastfeeding support during the early weeks while parents and baby are learning to feed.
-”Hands off” approach: the counselor never touches the mother’s breasts or body but instructs in a way that the mother can learn and apply methods for herself.
-Offers compassionate listening, counseling, and encouragement for clients.
-Advice on how to address commonly seen breastfeeding issues and challenges.
-Will teach hand expression and proper milk storage.
-Helps parents towards achieving their own breastfeeding goals.
Price: $20/hr virtual or in-person.
MHD Bereavement Service Package
-Complimentary bereavement gift basket.
-Moral support during birth and/or postpartum period.
-On-call encouragement and comfort.
-Education about post-loss expectations.
-Book recommendations, support groups, and resources for client’s edification.
-Assistance with caring for baby’s remains.
-Help for parents to bond and make memories with their baby.
-Assistance creating keepsakes.
-Assistance setting up a meal train.
-Safe and confidential presence to process grief and birth experience.
-Assisting client with postpartum recovery procedures (vaginal birth or Cesarean).
-Emotional and mental support.
-Assistance with drying up or donating breastmilk.
-Virtual care if necessary.
-Simple parent and baby photography (optional).
Price:FREE (Unless friends or family wish to make a love offering.)
Free ChildBirth Class (Offered VirtuALLY OR at The Pregnancy Resource Connection in GranBY, CO)
-Quarterly offered childbirth class that meets 4 evenings for in-depth sessions about labor, birth, and postpartum.
-Interactive class with other expecting parents from the community.
-Covers a variety of subjects including general expectations for the delivery process, commonly offered medical procedures, how to advocate for desires while staying flexible to change, coping techniques for labor, and how to care for a newborn and for the postpartum mother.
-Educational resources, videos, and readable materials shared with the parents for further research and support.
-Complimentary baby gifts throughout the class and baby shower offered during the last session (in-person class only).
Price: FREE (Class is paid for by a community grant.)
